The funniest thing I’ve done in 2021 is watch Melanie Greenberg’s Kill Switch videos from 2016. Even five years later, they’re still relevant and hysterical. Self-deprecating, ludicrous and brilliantly funny, Melanie muses about esoteric historical facts, popular culture and politics, often while doing a high impact workout on her elliptical machine next to her rescue dog, Phil.

Whether running in an Austin, Texas suburb, interviewing teenagers at a Katy Perry concert or canvassing Yankee fans at a game, Melanie brings a specific brand of fun and wisdom to any situation.

When I want to impress interesting people, I lie that I discovered Melanie and show them her videos— and they always say “I want to hang out with her!”
